Suresh Rattan, Ph.D.,D.Sc., is Professor of Biogerontology, at the Department of Molecular Biology, Aarhus University, Denmark. He has published more than 190 scientific articles and 12 books, including those for school children, general public and research scientists. His original research and areas of expertise include human cellular ageing, gerontogenes, and ageing intervention, prevention and therapies, including modulation through growth factors and mild stress-induced hormesis. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Biogerontology - a peer reviewed international journal on the biology of ageing. He is the discoverer of the anti-ageing effects of kinetin and zeatin, now used in several skin care products.
